To qualify the design of the pipe fitting & ensure that design meets the standard & code requirements, various tests including burst test are conducted.
In this test, a pipe & fittings are welded and a dummy pipe spool is prepared. This pipe spool is then pressurized to pre-defined calculated design proof test pressure.
If the fittings withstand the test, all future product manufactured using that design will be considered safe to use.
Also with safety being paramount during these critical and dangerous tests, Subodh Material Technologists ensures that all tests are carried out in a SAFE manner.
